365 Days of Morning Check-Ins

Looking to up-level your life and experience of being in your body?

You’ve come to a great place then for a free accountability challenge! Seeing this in March? You can join at ANY time of the year!

Here at Revived Living, I am always looking for the habits that yield maximum impact – cue morning check-ins!

Life is pretty lifey right now and overwhelm might be coming at you from multiple areas in your life.

Taking care of ourselves is essential to navigating these times and it doesn’t have to be another overwhelming area!

These have been an absolute game changer for myself and my VIP clients.

Morning check-ins serve as a space to:

  • Tune in to how you are feeling physically, mentally, & spiritually
  • Ask your body what they are needing to feel its best based on the answer above
  • Fill your cup before you pour into others
  • Process and integrate what is happening in your life rather than stuffing it down and cruising through on autopilot

I’m curious, are you already thinking about the perfect 1-2 hour long routine that requires waking up at 5am?

While that may work for some, it certainly didn’t work for me or my clients who are working through the all or nothing mindset.

Meaning, if they slept in a bit and no longer have an hour plus for the perfect routine they wouldn’t do anything for themselves.

Most days and weeks aren’t perfect, especially in our ever-shifting environment. That’s why it’s important to me to help you break rigid patterns so you can tune in to your body’s actual needs and nourish it EVERY day regardless of how much time or energy you have.

If there is one habit to focus on that will make a powerful impact in every area of your life – morning check-ins are it!

Imagine how you start your mornings currently and how you feel by the end of your day?

Has this cycle been repeating for a while? Does it feel like it’s taking you closer to the experience you want in your life or further away?

Morning routines give you a moment to collect yourself and approach your day from a place of empowerment rather disempowerment.

One decision and one action will start a cascade of momentum.

Now imagine how your life and experience of your body could shift positively if you dedicated the next 365 mornings to showing up for yourself whether it was 10 minutes or 90 minutes. I love to check my schedule the night prior so I know how much time I have the next morning without having to get on my phone and sucked into different apps!

My 3 morning focuses include a check-in around my physical, mental, & spiritual bodies and which action will give me the biggest impact for each. Unleash your curiosity as you check-in.

Physical Check-In:

  • What physical sensations do I notice in my body?
  • Where am I feeling pain or tension in my muscles?
  • How hungry/thirsty am I?
  • On a scale of 1-10 how energized and rested do I feel?
Mental Check-In:
  • On a scale of 1-10 how stressed am I in anticipation of my day ahead?
  • Do I feel scattered, cloudy, overwhelmed or grounded and focused?

Spiritual Check-In:

  • What support, strength, or guidance do I need to ask for based on where I am today?
Depending on how much time you determined from the night before and your check-in answers to the above questions will help you choose which tools and habits will best nourish you for the day ahead!

Nourishing activities may include, but certainly not limited to:
– Journaling
– Reading (personal growth or topic of interest for skill development)
– Pulling an oracle card
– Prayer
– Stretching
– Yoga
– Going for a walk
– High intensity movement
– Dancing
– Soaking in sunlight
– Tapping
– Energy Medicine
– Breath work
– Meditation/visualization
– Mirror Work
– Making a smoothie or nourishing breakfast
– Deciding your top 3 priorities for the day
– Taking supplements (work with a practitioner to see which vitamins & minerals are best for your body)
– Coffee enema
– Applying essential oils to areas of tension or breathing deeply to release stress

Two Daily Musts For Me:
  1. Water immediately upon waking up. Chugging 20 ounces right away was always impossible for me. Instead I have a to-go tumbler with a re-usable straw that I sip on while I do my morning check-in.
  2. Morning skin care! May sound simple to you but I rarely washed my face in the morning before partnering with Crunchi. I’ve learned a ton about caring for our skin, one being to wash away any dirt, sweat, toxins, or oils that released while you were sleeping or leftover nighttime products. Not only does this habit help wake me up naturally, but is also an amazing way to practice and fill my cup first thing.
Every day we change. We are dynamic beings.

If a rigid morning routine never seems to work for you, I highly encourage creating space to tune in and ask your body what it needs each morning.

I’ll be sharing my check-in and the nourishment I am choosing each day over on Instagram! If you’d like more accountability to reclaim your mornings, tag me in your story @revived_living! Let me know what activities you did that morning to nourish yourself and what day you are on.

For example:
  • Snap a picture of one part of your morning routine: water, yoga mat, book, etc.
  • Write out all the activities you did that day to nourish yourself based on your check-in above
  • Mark which day of the journey you are on like this – 4/365
Throughout the year I will randomly be drawing names and sending a small package your way to cheer on your wellness journey.

Your future self will thank you!

Can’t wait to see how you are showing up for yourself each day!

Always rooting for you,
Samantha
